shared goal, clear roles/responsibilities, diverse skill set, effective collaboration and communication, leadership
Crew Resource Management (CRM)
team members work together based on different skill sets, assign person to different task
PACE
probe (confirm problem), alert (tell leader), challenge (suggest different course of action if current one not working), emergency (critical problems)
Assisting with ALS skills
patient preparation, equipment setup, perform procedure, continuing care
Stages of Decision-Making Process
prearrival (mentally rehearse and prepare), arrival (request additional resources, assess possible danger), during the call (find/treat life threats, transport patient), after the call (debrief, cleanup)
