Negative attitudes and prejudgements about a group
Prejudice
Prejudice or discrimination based on sex that involves behavior, conditions, or attitudes that foster stereotypes of social roles based on sex.
Sexism
The actual treatment of that groups members in a negative or unfair manner
Discrimination
The social and psychological characteristics associated with being female or male
Gender
A persons internal psychological self concept of being either male or female
Gender identity
Concerns how we express ourselves to others ok ways related to gender that include both behavior and personality
Gender expression
The attitudes, behaviors, rights, and responsibilities that society associated with being male or female
Gender roles
The process of conveying what is considered appropriate behavior and perspectives for male and females in a particular culture
Gender role socialization
How people think about situations as try interact with others becomes what is real to them
The Social Construction of Gender
A sex chromosome disorder in which males are born with an extra X chromosomes resulting in an XXY designation
Klinefelters syndrome
People who have some mixture of male and female predisposition and configuration of reproduction structures
Pseudohermaphrodite
A person born with fully formed ovaries and fully formed testes
Hermaphrodite
This organization raises serious questions regarding the right of parents and physicians to make arbitrary decisions about surgically a child without their consent.

The increased pressures for gender role conformity. This research shows boys do actually increase in masculinity and girls with femininity over the transition into adolescence.
