Women have inappropriate expectations based on gender role stereotypes and boys are taught to restrain expressing feelings which leads to dissatisfaction or divorce. Some wait for relationships due to identities.

This stage is for middle aged or older adults where generativity is where they concern for guiding the next generation. Stagnation is stop in individual growth. Common for narcissistic and depressed people.
