Q

What is standard formatting and why is it important?

A

Standard Formatting is the outlining process that helps show ideas and create flow for a speech. This system of outlining is necessary so that the speaker can easily follow and touch on necessary points for their speech. Doing it any other way would be too dysfunctional and confusing for a speaker.

A

Use of roman numerals, letters, and numbers helps keep the point of the speech clear. Use full sentences. For every 1, there will always be a 2. Balancing an equal amount of time between each key point is also necessary. Finally, have a clear train of thought throughout the entire speech.
