A good strategic plan and mission statement allow the organization to set clear objectives.
In order to set realistic goals and objectives for your department and your employees, you need to know what the strategic plan is. If there is a plan, you should make sure you and your employees have read and understood it.
What is a strategic plan?
The strategic plan is the key driver of an organization, guiding its actions. The plan
defines status, culture, character, direction and future by articulating its mission and values. It also sets key priorities, goals, milestones and
assigned responsibilities.
What is a mission statement?
What the company plans to do and how the will achieve it.
Develop clear mission focused objectives (smart)
Specific Measurable Attainable Realistic Timely
