what is meant by LD50 and LC50-
LD50- lethal dose 50%- dose of toxicant to kill 50% of animal pop. of test animals under standard conditions ex. LD50 of 200 ppm
LC50 is the lethal concentration where 50% of the test pop. dies ex. LC50 of 20 mg/l
lower the amount, higher the toxicity
Signal word of Caution or no signal word
Toxicity category IV
slight concern for skin, eye, or respiratory injury
toxicity concern- slight to none (over 1 pint or 1 pint)
