Chapter 5-6 Test Flashcards
Define Stoichiometry. Why is it useful?
Relating to quantities of different substances in a equation. It is useful because it helps us figure out the relative amounts or reactants and product used in a chemical reaction.
Why is a limiting reactant? Why is it helpful in Stoichiometry?
A limiting reactant is an element that runs out first in a chemical equation stopping the whole experiments from continuing. Important because it gives us information about the equation and helps in a number of chemical calculations.
What is Gay Lussacs Law?
States the Stoichiometry coefficients in a chemical equation relates that volume of gases in the equation as well as the number of moles of a substance in the equation.
