Q

What are some factors the IC needs to consider when deciding on a PPA?

A
  • Hazmat involved
  • population at risk and resources required based on that pop.
  • time factors involved in release.
  • effects of weather on situation
  • capability to communicate with the population that is affected
  • availability and capability of Hazmat responders
17
Q

What is protect in place ?

A

Also called shelter in place, it directs those affected by an incident to go ( or remain ) inside a building, seal it up to the best of their ability and wait there until the danger has passed.
