Locus of control
Locus of control is the degree to which people believe that they, as opposed to external forces, have control over the outcome of events in their lives
Intrinsic locus of control
You feel you have control over your life. High goal setters
External locus of control
Negative core self evaluation. You feel that outside forces determine your level of success
Self Monitoring
Adjusting our behavior to external or situational factors
Values
Basic convictions about what is right, good or desirable.
Value system
Ranks values in terms of intensity
Terminal values
Desirable end states of existence
Instrumental values
Preferred modes of behavior or means of achieving terminal value
