What is an Advanced Format Disk?
- A disk that uses a 4092-byte physical sector.
- Available in 4K native and 512 emulation (512e) versions - Allow for the use of huge multi-terabyte drives
What is a Master Boot Record (MBR)?
An older partition style that does not support disk space larger than 2 TB.
What is a GUID Partition Table (GPT)?
A newer partition style that supports larger disk space.
What is VHD or VHDX?
An abbreviation for virtual hard disk, which is a method of installing Nano Server.
What is NTFS?
A common file system for Windows Server 2016.
What is ReFS?
An abbreviation for Resilient File System, a new file system supported by Windows Server 2016.
