What is learning according to a behaviorist?
Refers to an everlasting change in an individual resulting from experience
Classical conditioning
Association between two stimuli, based on our ability to learn by associating events that occur in our environment -fun class you associate excitement
UCS- classical conditioning
Something the the environment that triggers an unconditional stimulus
UCR- classical conditioning
Something that does not have to be learned
Positive reinforcement
Presenting a reinforcing stimulus to the person after the desired behavior is exhibited
Positive Punishment
Presenting an aversive consequence after an undesired behavior; Child picks his nose in class and teacher reprimands him in front of class
Negative Punishment
When reinforcing stimulus is removed after a particular undesired behavior; child kicks someone you remove him from environment
Negative Reinforcement
When stimulus is removed after a particular behavior is exhbited; taking away homework because of great class behavior
