Emotional well-being influences educational performance
The emotional well-being can effect a students performance in a classroom, it’s importance to have a classroom climate in which child feels safe is key. Do this by encouraging, empathy and compasion
Student creativity can be fostered
Creativity can be developed and nurtured; group work is a great way to influence creativity
What students already know affect their learning
Learning consist of conceptual growth so it’s hard if you just tell them to think differently. Provide credible information and data to counter misconceptions
Acquire long-term knowledge and skills
Deliberate attention and practice leads to new knowledge that can be developed; the use of practice test and quizzes
Clear, explanatory and timely feedback to students is important for learning
Learning can be increased when students receive regular, specific, explanatory feedback on their work. Feedback on quizzes and practice test help with future performance because they know what is correct and incorrect
