The process of making an area more urban.
Which parts of the world had the highest level and rate of urbanisation from 1980 to 2010?

How has the level and rate of urbanisation change around the world from 2010 to 2020?
Asia and Africa have risen up rapidly overtime in development and urbanisation while other parts of the world like north America, etc have grown at a slower rate since they are already successful.
How will the level and rate of urbanisation change in the future 2020 onwards?
Countries like Africa and Asia would have already reached a high rate in urbanisation as well as development over the years to come.
What is a megacity?
A city in a country that has 10 million or more people living in it.
How has the number and location of megacities changes overtime? Where are they and where has the greatest growth occurred?
As a city develops, so does the population living in it. There are 41 megacities overall and the ones with the greatest growth rates are the ones developing and emerging continents, like Africa.
What is a primate city?
A primate city is the largest city in its country that has an economic influence on the country.
State the kind of impact that a primate city might have in its country.
Investment - businesses often locate there, making primate cities more attractive in infrastructure and services.
