Why is Original Sin infinitely serious?
Original sin is serious because it offends God. God is infinitely good, so that makes original sin infinitely serious.
How does the Incarnation pay our debt to God?
The Incarnation pays our debt to God because sin entered the world through man, so it must be man to atone for it. But, only God could pay the debt because He is Infinite. The only way the debt could be paid is if God became man.
What does Jesus’s hidden life teach us?
Jesus’s hidden life teaches us that Jesus lived his life in obedience to His parents and authority which in turn shows His obedience to the Father. We can offer up our daily duties just as He did. Jesus was born into complete poverty and vulnerability so for the majority of His life He lived an ordinary life.

St. Joseph is a just man because when he was faced with Mary’s pregnancy, he opted to do the most just thing. When he found out that the pregnancy was all part of God’s plan, he became faithful to God’s will.

We receive faith freely from God. Faith is related to good works because we must live out our faith through good works of charity.

The Finding in the Church teaches us about Jesus’s divine intellect. This foreshadows Christ’s death and resurrection.

Mary’s virginity signifies God’s initiative in the plan. He asked for her cooperation and she gave it to Him.
What is the significance of the shepherds at the Nativity?
The shepherds at the Nativity are seen as outcasts. They are significant because David was a shepherd as well.

The incarnation shows that Jesus was fully human. He teaches us how to live out our full human dignity.

The three gifts of the Magi are gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Gold is a sign of Christ’s royalty, frankincense represents Christ’s divinity, and myrrh represents Christ’s priesthood and death.
What does the devil try to do to us?
The devil tries to tempt us. He also tries to push us away from God.
What does Christ’s poverty teach us?
Christ’s poverty teaches us to detach ourselves from worldly things. This detachment shows us to put God first.
Why does Christ reflect the Father’s glory?
Christ reflects the Father’s glory by being the prefect manifestation of God dwelling among us. He also reflects the Father’s glory by being one with God.
How is St. John the Baptist a fulfillment of a prophecy?
St. John the Baptist is a fulfillment of a prophecy because God is the “voice in the wilderness.” Isaiah said that this voice would come right before the Messiah.
How is grace a gift?
Grace is a gift because it is God’s love being freely and unmeritedly given to us. This gift heals us and gives us divine life.
