Chapter 3 - Major Muscles that Act at the Shoulder Flashcards
Pectoralis Major
1 - What are it’s primary functions?
2 - List the selected exercises that affect it.
1 - Flexion, extension, adduction, internal rotation, and horizontal adduction
2 - Push ups, pull ups, incline bench press, regular bench press, climbing a rope, all types of throwing, or tennis serve
Deltoid
1 - What are it’s primary functions?
2 - List the selected exercises that affect it.

Entire Muscle, Abduction
Anterior Fibers: Flexion, internal rotation, and horizontal abduction
2 - Lateral Raise (abduction) exercises, anterior deltoid has similar functions to pectoralis major
Latissimus Dorsi
