special standards committees under guidance from a Standards Developing Organization (CSA, ETL, etc.)
Committees are made up of individuals from all sections of the gas industry: companies, manufacturers, consumers, insurance companies, etc.

How do the standards get developed? What’s the process?

Iterative: write a draft, submit for review, change, submit, etc.
When fully accepted, the standard is published

What does CSA International do?

Answer 3

They are a test agency who test the safety and performance of appliances, witness testing, review data, compile and issue certificates and reports

How is the CGE program controlled and administered?

Answer 4

Through ASGE. Establish testing material, hold exams, grade, collect fees, issue certificates, maintain certification roster

How are members of ASGE and CGE expected to behave?
