Positive: humility, modesty, and lack of arrogance; rely on superior power
Bahala na (Resignation)
Negative: disowns responsibility
Positive: never suffer from guilt
Kasi (Because, scapegoat)
Negative: never accountable for anything
Positive: one’s psyche is saved from remorse of conscience
Saving Face
Negative: relies on one’s family or relatives. It stunts the one’s growth on their own.
Positive: one stands/falls with them, caring for them
Sakop (Inclusion)
Negative: postpones action, aggravates the situation, mentality: problem will go away by itself.
Positive: one learns to take what comes naturally
Manana or Bukas na/mamaya na
Negative: do anything to please to repay the debt
Positive: to give back those who they were indebted to (who helped them).

Negative: no regard for others
