Executing Process
the formal authorization for a new project to begin or for an existing project to continue into the next phase.
Initiating Process
calculating a desired result by means of a repeated cycle of operations
Iterative
major events in a project that measure progress
Milestones
process that monitors the progress of the project to identify any variances from the project management plan.
Monitoring and Controlling Process
the project goals, objectives, and deliverables are broken down into manageable units of work.
Planning Process
a document that provides formal approval for the project to begin and authorizes resources for the project. Written by the PM, approved by the Project Sponsor.
Project Charter
documents the key characteristics of the deliverable created by the project.
Project Description
describe the characteristics of the deliverable that must be met
Requirements
Time, scope, and cost, all which affect quality
Triple Constraints
a series of processes that are executed to apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to the project activities to meet the project requirements.
