What is autocratic leadership style?
Provide clear direction of what, how and when tasks will be performed. Orders flow from top down, and compliance is accomplished through rules, regulations, and punishment for non-compliance
What is democratic leadership style?
Solicit input from their followers before making decisions. Also called participative leadership.
What is Laissez-faire leadership style?
Leader does not make decisions or avoids them. Followers are left to solve problems for themselves.
What is managerial leadership?
Transactional: enforcing compliance through rewards and punishments. Most effective in situations where performance needs to be standardized and consistent.
What is transformational leadership?
Style in which organizational change is accomplished by followers’ commitment to the leader’s vision and inspiration.
Command presence includes the ability to:
Identify the situation’s components
Assess the need for action.
Determine the nature of the necessary intervention
