2.1 Recovery- Property Reports
Property Reports will NOT be completed for the following items unless these items are considered evidence: Food, Clothing, Registration Tags, Driver license, keys.
2.5 Recovery- Coordinator
The Detachment Property Coordinator will be responsible for the return of registration plates and driver licenses to the MVA
2.10 Recovery- White copy of report
The white copy of the property report will be retained at the Detachment/ Unit until the Property/ Evidence is returned to its owner or transferred to the property/ Evidence Unit
2.1 Property Evidence Storage- Too large for envelope
Items too large to fit in a Property/ Evidence envelope will receive a Property/ Evidence Tag prior to storage
2.2 Property Evidence Storage- Too large for property room
Items too large to fit in the Detachment/ Unit Property room will be properly tagged and stored in the designated Detachment/ Unit bulk storage area
1.4 Responsibilities of Detachment/ Unit Property Coordinators
If a new entry has been made, the DPC will mail notification letters in all cases where an owner, or possible owner is know. The letter will be mailed standard first class mail and will advice the owner they have 30 days to retrieve their property.
