8.1 Removal From Line of Duty

When an officer’s action or use of force results in a death or serious physical injury to another, the officer shall be removed from line of duty assignment pending an administrative review and meet with a medical doctor and/or mental health professional provided by MDTA for evaluation and counseling

1.1 Reporting of the Use of Force- Required Reporting

All officers will prepare and submit a Use of Force Report using the Blue Team software on the police intranet

5.6 Review of Reports

The IAU shall retain all Use of Force reports for 25 years

3.1 Unqualified officers

Answer 4

If a sworn person fails weapons/ firearms training he/ she will be issued a personnel order suspending his/ her police powers and the immediate surrender of his weapon
