they create social bonds. occurs when people are comfortable with one another, when they feel open and free.
How does relaxation reflect leisure?
- an activity of non activity
- faithful openness to immediate reality.
Two ways to think about relaxation
- functional perspective- recharges the system, increases productivity, reduces stress and better health
- Relaxation itself- reflection, thinking, wondering, imagining. “a pause”
