Chapter 2 - The process of interaction design Flashcards
What are the four phases/stages of The double-diamond of design?
Discover, Define, Develop, Deliver
Upptäck, definiera, utveckla, leverera
In which stage of the double-diamond of design does the designers try to gather insight about the problem?
Discover
In which stage does the designers develop a clear brief that frames the design challenge?
Define
In which stage are solutions or concepts being created, prototyped, tested and iterated?
Develop
In which stage are the resulting project being finalized, produced and launched?
Deliver
what are the four activities of the interaction design lifecycle?
Upptäcka krav, utforma alternativ, prototyper och utvärdering
The team shows the different designs the product could have. The customer looks through the alternatives and makes comments.
In which stage of the double-diamond is this team?
Developing stage
The team knows and understands the needs, wishes, and values of the users of the product. They have to focus on the problem area and decide with the design challenge they will continue working.
In which stage of the double-diamond is this team?
Define stage
Everyone in the team is in a harry to deliver their part of the product. They have only a week until the product is launched.
In which stage of the double-diamond is this team?
Deliver stage
The team was divided into two. Half of the team would observe how the users work today, and the other half would interview 10 employees to understand what issues they face in their working day and what they wish to change in the future.
In which stage of the double-diamond is this team?
Discover stage
In the user-centered design approach…
In the activity-centered design: approach….
the focus if on people’s behavior and actions
system design…
Rapid expert design….
is based on the experience of the experts rather than the users. The experts may have information on users to support.
Participatory design….
part of the users participating throughout the design process as parts of the design team
What is one of the differences between participatory (PD) and user-centered design (UCD)?
The PD requires representatives of the user group to participate in the whole design process, which is not always the case for UCD
What is A/B testing?
It is an online method to inform the choice between two alternatives. It is most commonly used for comparing different versions of web pages or apps…
What is Google Design Sprint?
is a five-day design method developed by Google to support the fast design of products. One can go through all the design steps in just a week.
What is Research in the Wild ?
What is the job of a Product owner?
What is Expectations management?
Ownership?
User who are involved and feel that they have contributed to a product’s development are more likely to feel a sense of ownership toward it and support its use.
What is Crowdsourcing?
a range of different people are encouraged to contribute
What are the 3 principles for a user-centred approach? (John Gold & Clayton Lewis)
- Tidigt fokus på användare och uppgifter
- Empirisk mätning
- Iterativ design
What is Conceptual design?
it describes what people can do with a product
What is Concrete design?
The five stages of Google design sprints?
What is Usability engineering?
dvs.
