What organs are in the CRANIAL CAVITY?
Brain and Pituitary Gland.
What organs are in the THORACIC CAVITY?
Lungs, Heart, Esophagus, Trachea, bronchial tubes, thymus gland, aorta.
The thoracic cavity is divided into the Pleural Cavity and the Mediastinum
What organs are in the ABDOMINAL CAVITY?
Contains stomach, small and large intestines, spleen, pancreas, liver and gallbladder. the abdominal cavity begins at the diaphgrahm.
What organs are in the PELVIC CAVITY?
Contains portions of the small and large intestines, rectum, urinary bladder, urethra, ureters, (uterus and vagina(only in females))
What organs are in the SPINAL CAVITY?
Nerves and spinal cord.
What are the different Quadrants of the abdominopelvic area?
Right Hypochondriac Area Left Hypochondriac Area Epigastric Region Right Lumbar region Left Lumbar Region Umbilical Region Right Inguinal Region (Groin) Left Inguinal Region
What are the 4 Quadrants?
RUQ- Right Upper Quadrant

What is the Sagittal Plane?
Lengthwise vertical plane dividing the body in half (along the right and left sides)
What is the Transverse Plane?
Horizontal cross-section of body along the body parallel to the ground.
