Saturated fat comes primarily from?
Red meat, poultry and full-fat dairy products.
What is one of the major risk factors for a heart disease?
Eating too much saturated fat.
A diet high in saturated fat causes a soft, waxy substance called?
Cholesterol to clog the arteries.
Unsaturated fat is primarily found in?
Nuts, seeds, vegetable oils (such as canola and corn), avocados and oily fish.
Unsaturated fat may protect the heart especially when?
Accompanied by other heart-healthy lifestyle measures.
Most trans fats are made from?
Oils through a food processing method called Partial Hydrogenation.
What does these partially Hydrogenated Trans fats can increase?
Unhealthy LDL cholesterol and lower healthy HDL cholesterol.
Does Trans Fat can increase the risk for?
Heart Disease.
