How you process information through your senses.

Identity Factors, Temporal Conditions, Past experiences, present feelings, circumstances, & how you see yourself.
What is the process of Perception?
Selective exposure: What your senses see, hear, taste, touch, and smell that doesn’t contradict your beliefs.
Selective attention: What you choose to focus on or expose yourself to.
Selective perception: The tendency to see, hear, and believe what you want to.
Selective retention: Remember the things that reinforce your beliefs rather than those that oppose them.

When a person organizes the stimuli in their own environment.

- Suggest possible interpretations
- Seek clarification
Ways to make a great First Impression!
- Be Authentic but don’t exaggerate
- Get to the point.
- Be creative in the language you use.
- Don’t provide details that don’t relate to the story.
- Gather info/other points of view from people who are part of the story.
- Conclude with a memorable statement that is parallel to the introduction.
