Q

Grouping books in the Old Testament

A

The books of the Old Testament do not follow a sequence as the chapters of a novel or a textbook do. When you read the Bible, you can read a particular section and not feel that you have missed an important part of the story. The first five books of the Old Testament lay the foundation for the Israelites as the chosen people of God. These books are called the Pentateuch.
