Northerners that moved to the south during reconstruction to find wealth by bringing industry to the region

Name used by former confederates to describe some white southerners that that were pro Union

Separation of the races

Laws that required blacks and whites to be separated in nearly every public place

It was ok as long as they were separate and equal

Blacks that left the south after the war.
