What are the 3 main goals of Verbal Reports?
1.Give upon arrival to the hospital
- Introduce the patient by name.
- Give a complete and detailed report of the scenario.
Basic Communication characteristics.
Use eye contact.
Be aware of the your position and body language.
Use the patients proper name (sign of respect).
Listening establishes respect.
What is a radio report?
A report given via radio to the destination hospital to prepare them for arrival.
Main concern of radio reports.
You want to keep them brief and try to keep them under 30 seconds.
When does a Prehospital Care Report take place?
They start when you first arrive on scene.
You can also transfer reports to different units on the call so they can fill out information as well.
