- Due to spending more (30mil to 70mil) on armaments on the 3rd 5yr plan, the USSR produced more that 100K rifles a month

- Due to less spending on consumer goods, consumer goods decreased to less that NEP times
- Quality of goods decreased due to factories just trying to hit quota limits, at any costs

Name a strength and a weakness of the USSR society by 41’
A
- By socialism definition, by 30s’, more progress was made by collective ownership, factories and farms for e.g.
- But critics could argue socialism wasn’t truly reached as the government owned everything in a dictatorship way, in that unelected leaders controlled
- Quality of life was awful, even for managers
