Q

What does being recombinant mean?

A

It means that the genetic material in an organism’s gametes contains a new combination of alleles that are different from either parent (which happened bc of recombination)

Q

If two genes are linked, would you expect to find more recombinant or nonrecombinant genes?

A

Nonrecombinant. This is bc the genes are so close that it is unlikely recombination will occur between them
