1. Consider procedure you will perform
2. Inspect hands for open cuts, band aids
3. Any allergies to latex
4. Correct Glove Size
5. Examine glove package: not open or torn
6. Hand Hygiene
7. Open package, the one inch outer edge non-sterile, on a flat clean surface, waist level
8. Pull glove over dominant hand: Only touch turned up cuff
9. Ensure that thumb and fingers are in proper spaces
10. Slip dominant gloved hand under cuff and slide onto non-dominant hand
11. Do not let the gloved hand touch the ungloved hand nor the cuff
12. Keep sterile equipment in sight, out of sight no longer sterile
