The practice of acquiring credentials like degree’s and diplomas when it does not necessarily teach them the essential skills for jobs they want.
Compulsory Public Education
Public funded education that was mandatory for all children until a certain age.
Prolonged adolescence
A latent function of the education system in the United States that makes kids dependent on their parents for longer time now since the age a child can legally quit school is 16 and society keeps them out of the job market.
