What are the major sections of APA format

Title Page
Includes manuscript page header/number, running head, title, author information
Author’s Note
Allows people to thank people for their help, cite a previous presentation of the findings, and designate a contact person for further info about the experiment
Abstract
Provides 150-250 word summary about the paper, gives the reader info on whether they want to continue reading or not
Intro section
includes a thesis statement, literature review, and statement of the experimental hypothesis
method section
contains a thorough description of the participants, the objects used in the experiment, and what took place during the study
results section
presents inferential/descriptive statistics to describe the experimental outcomes. Figures/tables may aid in presenting this statistical info
Discussion section
researcher draws conclusions from the experiment by summarizing the results, comparing the results to previous research, and interpreting the results
Reference list
provides bibliographic info for any works cited in the paper.
