Prosocial behavior
Voluntary behavior intended to benefit another such as helping, sharing, or comforting others
Conscience
Internal regulatory mechanism that increases the individuals ability to conform to standards of conduct accepted in their culture
Moral judgement
Decisions that pertain to issues of right / wrong, fairness, and justice
Personal Judgement
Decisions that refer to actions in which individual preferences are the main consideration
Social - conventional judgements
Decisions that pertain to customs / regulations intended to secure social
Altruistic Motives
Helping other for reasons that initially include empathy / sympathy, coordination / for others and at later ages a desire to act in ways consistent with ones own conscience
Agression
Behavior aimed at harming / injuring others
Anti social behavior
Disruptive, hostile behaviors that violate social norms and rules to take advantage of others
Primary prevention
Program targeting all individuals in a setting (ex school) to prevent the occurrence of a problematic behavior or condition
Instrumental agression
Agression motivated by the desire to obtain a concrete goal
Secondary Prevention
Program designed to help individuals at risk for a developing problem or condition with the goal of preventing
Tertiary intervention
Program designed to help an individual who already exhibits a problem or condition
Conduct disorder
Disorder that involves severe antisocial and aggressive behaviors that inflict pain on otherd and involve destruction of property and denial or rights of others
Oppositional defiant disorder
Disorder characterized by age inappropriate and persistent displays of angry defiant irratable
Reactive aggressive
Emotionally driven, antagonistic aggression sparked by ones perception that others motives are hostile
