What is the cause, sign, and care of turf toe?
Cause: hyperextension of great toe
Sign: single or repeated increased pain, swelling during push off, walk, run, jump rigidity of forefoot in shoe(this is either sign or care I literally don’t know)
Care: tape to prevent 1st toe dorsiflex, rest 3-4 weeks
What is a Jone’s fracture and how does it happen? What is the treatment and why?
Base of the 5th metatarsal fracture with high velocity rotation; a high nonunion rate due to little blood supply and may require internal fixation
