moral entrepreneur
a person who creates moral rules, which thus reflect the values of those in power than any objective, universal standards of right than wrong
obscenity
matier that links sex with undue exploitation, violence, or degrading or dehumanizing treatment, and has no redeeming social value
pornography
books, magazines, films, tapes, pictures, or videos that graphically exploit sex or depict sex in combination with crime, horror, cruelty or violence; includes any and all sexual exploitation of children
Prohibition
In Canada, the period from about 1915-1925 when the sale of alcohol was prohibited; in the U.S. the prohibition lasted much longer, from 1919-1933
Prostitution
the consensual exchange of sex for money

the drive to prohibit the sale of alcohol in the United states and Canada, led by the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union
Victimless crime
Public order crime that violates the moral order but has no specific victim other than society as a whole
