Q

Why are standardized tests so expensive?

Q

What are some advantages of a teacher-made test?

A

Teacher made tests give teachers a way to test knowledge and plan for future instruction, and standardized tests dont always accurately assess that information. Teacher made tests also better reflect what is taught in class and better fit the teaching methods that teacher is using. teachers can also better assess the way students are progressing to check for understanding with teacher made tests. They can also better account for the specific needs of the students, whether it be special needs or different learning styles, and the tests can be tailored to fit those needs to get a better idea of what the student actually knows.
