A

What is a clean catch specimen?

A

Urine caught midstream in a sterile container. used for cultures or when a non-contaminated specimen is needed.

What is a 24 hr. specimen?

A

A container with preservatives. Discard forst morning spec. and collect all urine for the next 24 hrs. including the first void of next day. Used for quantitative analysis and KD function.

A
