Control pathway in oxidative respiration, converts acetyl units to CO2 with the production of FADH2, NADH, and ATP

Acetyl-CoA + 3NAD + FAD + GDP + Pi + 2H2O > CoA + 2CO2 + 3NADH + 3H + FADH2 + GTP
Pyruvate Dehydrogenase
Converts pyruvate to acetyl-CoA, necessary transition from glycolysis

Acetyl-CoA + Oxaloacetate + H2O (citrate synthase)> CoA + citrate

Citrate (aconitase)>< Isocitrate

Isocitrate + NAD (isocitrate dehydrogenase)> a-Ketoglurate + NADH + CO2 + H

a-Ketoglurate + CoA + NAD (a-ketoglutarate dehydrogenase)> Succinyl-CoA + NADH + CO2 + H
