Communication apprehension

Something that doesn’t look or feel like what it represents, but there is an agreement to use it that way. (give an example)
Sign
A natural consequence or indicator of something specific which cannot be changed. (give an example)
Social construction of meaning
How over time everyone in society learns the same meanings and assign them to symbols because of a mutual agreement. (give an example)
Medium
The way you choose to convey your message and how this may change how the message in understood. (give an example)
Frames
A context or situation that gives you clues about what’s going on and help you understand how to react. (give an example)
Communication frames
helps us concentrate and focus on a specific part of the conversation while ignoring other things. (give an example)
Representation
describes facts and informations. (give an example)
Presentation
One’s particular version of the facts. (give an example)
Communication as an action
The act of the sender sending a message to the receiver.
Communication as an interaction
An exchange of information between two or more people.
Communication as transaction
two or more people sharing ideas and feelings to create a shared meaning or underrating.
