Contemplation Stage
1.Plan to take action within a month.
2.Already made small changes in there behavior.
3. Engaging in new behavior but not consistent
4.Created a plan of change but worried about failing.
Preparation Stage
specific, measurable, attainable realistic, time frame
SMART Criteria
1.Outwordly modify their behavior and their environment
2.Risk of reverting to old unhealthy patterns of behavior.
3.Reaping rewards of positive change.
4.Greatest commitment of time and energy.
Action Stage
- maintained healthy lifestyle for more than six months.
2.laps may have occurred.
3.Last 6 months or years.
Maintenance Stage
- Total self efficacy
- No longer tempted to relapse back into old behavior.
Termination Stage
conditions that increase the likelihood of a negative developmental outcome
