God is a God who desires to reveal himself. God reveals himself primarily by speaking. Give examples of how God has revealed himself to his people.

A

(1) He spoke the Universe into existence:

Psalm 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

(2) He revealed himself by speaking to chosen men. Prophets of old
(3) Revealed himself through the person of Jesus Christ:

John 1:1-3 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2The same was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

vs.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

Luke 11:50-51 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;
51From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

Jesús was referring to the Martyrs of the Old Testament:

(1) Abel was the First as recorded in Genesis
(2) Zechariah was the last as recorded in 2 Chronicles 24:20-21

In the Hebrew Bible, 2 Chronicles is the last book, while Genesis is the first.

A

(1) Peter speaks of a compilation of the writings of Paul in his day:

2 Peter 3:15-16 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
16As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

(2) By the end of the 4th Century, all 27 books of the New Testament were received as canonical.
It was settled on at the “3rd council of Carthage” (397AD).

A

It means that, in it’s original autographs, the Bible contains no mistakes. In it’s original languages in which it was written, it is absolutely infallible - without error whatever.
