How are plants classified? (How do scientists sort plants?)
A
Scientists sorts plants based on how they:
-transport water and nutrients.
-how they reproduce

When sorting plants by transporting water and nutrients they can be either… what and what?
A
- Vascular-plants that have tubes carrying water and nutrients throughout the plant
- Non-Vascular-plants do not have roots, stems, or leaves. water is transported form on cell to the next. These plants are small like ferns and mosses.

When sorting plants by how they reproduce they can be either 2 different ways. what are they?
A
- Plants with flowers or cones produce seeds. Seeds can grow in flowers or cones such as seed plants like apples and sunflowers
- Other plants do not use seeds, they use SPORES. Spores come in different sizes and need moist and shady places like ferns and mosses.
