Focus of Virtue Ethics
Virtue ethics focuses on ideals rather than obligations and on the character of the professional rather than on the action itself.
Nonmaleficence
The APA (2010) principle of beneficence and nonmaleficence states,
Psychologists strive to benefit those with whom they work and take care to do no harm.
Avoiding doing harm, which includes refraining from actions that risk hurting clients
