angular distance measured from north eastward around the celestial horizon. similar to longitude

a term used to describe the appearance of the sky

stars that never set beyond the horizon

1/360 of a circle
Great cirlce
a circle that divides a sphere into two equal parts
Horizon system
a coordinate system similar to earths latt long used for the celestial sphere
Latitude
north to south
Longitude
east to west
Minute of arc
1/60 of a degree
Prime meridian
or greenwich meridian. where longitude = 0
Second of arc
1/60 of a second of arc
Zenith
point directly above your head
Zero point
the point where you start counting on a coordinate system
