Prophecy that Thetis would have a son greater than his father. Zeus did not want him to be greater than a god.
Why did Discord throw golden apple during the feast?
She was not invited to the wedding of Thetis and Peleus, and wanted the goddesses to fight and ruin the wedding
Why did Priam send Paris away to die?
Hecuba had a dream that Paris was a flaming torch. The soothsayers said this meant he would cause the destruction of Troy
What prevented Paris’ death?
Priam had left him in Mt Ida to die, but shepherds found him and raised him
Why was Paris chosen to judge who should receive the golden apple?
Because of his innocence of mind
