- The IC feels a response by utility company is required

No occupants are symptomatic and meter readings of 9ppm or less
Co emergencies
Occupants are symptomatic or meter readings greater than 9ppm
SCBAs at co incidents
Worn on at all investigations
And used at all emergencies
Search premise with a ht equipt team of at Least two ff
Operations at co incidents 9ppm or less ( no symptoms )
- Inform occupant that our meter has not detected elevated CO level
- Attempt to reset detector if does not reset or does not have reset recommend that occupant refer to manufactures instructions
- inform occupants that if detector activates again that they should call 911
Co emergency actions over 9ppm but below 100 ppm
Over 9ppm not normal
Inform occupants that have potential dangerous co level
Recommend all ppl in affected area leave and start vent
If appliance shut it down
Once appliance shut down and vent and levels drop below 9ppm or less premise may be occupied
Attempt to,reset detector,
Inform the occupants of all actions taken and that utility company has been requested to respond
Inform occupant if detector goes off again call 911
Co emergency of 100 ppm or greater
- Inform occupants that we have detected a potentially lethal level of co
- Begin evacuation of affected area
- If appliance problem shut it down
- If source mitigated and levels drop to 9ppm or less than reoccupy
- Attempt to,reset detector
