What is a sense of place?
Sense of place is an individuals personal feelings about an area. These feelings could be completely different to someone else from the same area.
What is an insider?
An insider is someone who knows the area well, and feels comfortable there.
What is an outsider?
An outsider is someone who is either new to an area, or is visiting the area. They do not know the area and may not feel comfortable there.
What are exogenous factors?
Exogenous factors are things that are brought into an area. This could be chain cooperation’s opening a shop, or the national government enforcing new bans/laws.
What are endogenous factors?
Endogenous factors are things local/unique to an area. This includes people who live there, local shops, and the local environment.
