Changing Climayes geo Flashcards
What is the difference between the greenhouse effect and the enhanced greenhouse effect
The difference is that we now believe that some of the greenhouse gases are being released by humans by using cars and not conserving energy
In what ways are humans enhancing the greenhouse effect
By using cars not turning off your light when you’re not using them always using your AC by not recycling
What are the three greenhouse gases
Carbon dioxide meathen and nitrous oxide
Historic natural changes
Volcanic eruptions: volcanos release green house gasses in creasing temp big eruption decrease temp
The sun spot: when the sun has more spots it will release more solor energy
Changes in ocean currents: move heat around the earth if they change direction it will change the temp:
Orbaital theory: shape tilt wobble
changed the amount of sunlight
Catastrophic events: same as volcanic
Negative effects of global warming
More frequent storms and hurricanes the temperature rises that might be an increase of rainfall which would also drown vegetables
Positive effects of global warming
Dryer places would get more water which meant that they could grow more crops and make them healthyUK summer tors and increases so people get more jobs and money for the country
How can having rainfall be good and bad
Having a rainfall will increase sea level rise and it impacts. Which would drown vegetation which will have a glass of food lots of jobs and a loss of people but it will also give people more will chat some more people survive and animals can keep cool so they can survive as well
What can we do to step down global warming
We can take bikes not cars we can recycle our trash we can conserve electricity OpenWindows get insulation and use less water
What is the green house effect
The greenhouse effect is a process by which thermal radiation from a planetary surface is absorbed by atmospheric greenhouse gases, and is re-radiated in all directions.
